Discover New Music with Subscription-based Online Services
Discover New Music with Subscription-based Online Services - A great way to discover new artists and songs.
This is exactly what we've been talking about in recent Blog articles. Rhapsody allows for access to a virtually unlimited music server across the Internet for one monthly price of approx. $12. It also has 'channels' built in which make you question the need for XM and Sirius. The channels are by genre similar to those of the satellite radio providers.
If you combine the Rhapsody service with a Sonos or SqueezeBox multi-room music system- you can now have almost any song playing in any room. No need to buy and rip CD's (except if you have some unavailable titles). No need for iTunes. No need for buying $.99 tracks. Oh, by the way, a Sonos or SqueezeBox system can be installed either wirelessly or via wires or both. It's easy to expand too.
And if you want to take music with you on the go, there are many mobile music players to choose from that support Rhapsody. The iPod isn't one of them by the way.
